Best Selling Car in America
What is the best selling car in America? It’s not the Toyota Camry, or the Honda Accord. BMW 3 Series? Nope. Ford Mustang? You will never guess. (Hint: it’s an American car.)
It’s the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe! The cute little red and yellow toddler car outsold every other car in America with over 457,000 sold. In the 1990’s, it outsold the Accord and the Ford Taurus. Over 10 million Little Tikes Cozy Coupes have been sold in its 30 years.
A new Cozy Coupe is made every minute of every day, 50 weeks a year. If it was compared with regular cars, the Cozy Coupe would be one of the top 20 best-selling models of all time! The man who designed the Cozy Coupe, Jim Mariol, was a former member of the design team at Chrysler.
And the Cozy Coupe may be the ultimate green car–some have even compared it to the Smart Fortwo. Like the Flintstones’ car, it’s powered by little feet. And you thought Prius was green.
For these reasons, the Cleveland Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum added the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe to its collection (the Cozy Coupe is manufactured in northern Ohio). Wonder what collision coverage would cost for a Cozy Coupe?
