Improving USA roads could save thousands of lives
Measures to improve roads could save 6,000 lives and billions of pounds over the next decade, new research suggests. A report by the Road Safety Foundation for the RAC Foundation says road accidents cost Britain up to £30 billion each year, with much of the bill footed by the NHS. Meanwhile, drivers are being hit tax increases without seeing much improvements for their money.
